Often times, your cover is what sells your book. Do you want your book in hardcover with a book jacket or softcover, or both? Your cover will be different if your intent is to create a memoir for your family rather than the next Grisham or King. Depending on your audience and how you plan to market your book, you need to consider such things as “shelf appeal.” Will someone browsing in a brick-and-mortar or virtual bookstore be attracted to your cover? Does the cover design catch your potential reader’s eye and interest?
